Oneida Rail Trail

This in-development rails to trails project will eventually provide nearly 12 contiguous miles of trails between Wampsville and Oneida. It is currently possible to get from the Erie Canal Trail at North Court Street to Lenox Ave. in Oneida via the existing rail beds indicated on the map on this page.  https://www.improveoneida.com/committees-programs/oneida-rail-trail/maps-directions/

Lenox Rail Trail

Completed in 2019, this 2.25-mile paved trail spans between the villages of Canastota and Wampsville on a corridor that once serviced the New York Central Railroad. Visitors can access the trail via South Peterboro Street in downtown Canastota and end in Wampsville. Once in Wampsville, visitors can reconnect to the Old Erie Canal on North Court Street or continue on the Oneida Rail Trail. A map of the Lenox Rail Trail can be found at the provided link: https://www.traillink.com/trail/lenox-rail-trail/#trail-detail-about
