Inventory and Proposed Projects

Each community will have an inventory section and proposed projects section in the Old Erie Canal LWRP. As drafts become available they will be uploaded here for review and comment.

The inventory section is the meat and potatoes of the LWRP plan and includes summary information on history, land use and zoning, water quality and land cover, historic and cultural resources, and public access and recreation for the Local Waterfront Revitalization Area Boundary that was established for the community.  The inventory concludes with an “Issues and Opportunities” page – the intent is that the assessment of the corridor in this section leads into the proposed projects.   

Projects within the Old Erie Canal Corridor are currently being identified for the LWRP. The proposed projects linked below are still in draft form and based on community input to date. Corridor-wide project ideas are also being developed including ideas to improve the water. Do you have project ideas? Do you have comments on the draft inventory for your community?
